She told her to wish to Lord Shiva. After considering all the thoughts, he told that because of some reason Prajapati Daksh is not happy with us. He has invited all gods and goddesses. He has also dedicated their respective Yagya part. But he intensely didn’t invite us. Not even he conveyed any message. You should not go there.
Devi Sati didn’t consider Shiva’s thoughts. Because of her strong wish, Shiva granted her to go. When Sati arrived at her father’s home, she noticed that no one is talking to her with love and respect. Only her mother greeted her with love and affection. She noticed that her sisters were making fun of and insulting her.
Because of the behaviors of her relatives, she became upset. By seeing all these things her heart was filled with guilty, insult, and anger. Now she was realizing her fault for not considering the advice of her husband and taken the wrong decision. She could not tolerate this insult and burnt herself in the fire of Yagya. When Lord Shiva get to know about the incident he sent his gana there and destroyed all the arrangements of Yagya.
Devi Sati burnt her in the fire of Yagya and took birth as the daughter of mountain king Himalaya. Now she was known as Shailaputri
