Thrissur Pooram
Thrissur Pooram is one of the biggest and most colourful temple festivals celebrated in Kerala state in South India. The festival is celebrated in the Vadakkumnathan temple in the Thrissur district.Â
The festival is famous for its unique decorated elephant procession (Kudamattom), which involves the participation of elephants from various temples across Kerala.
Apart from this splendid procession, other attractions of the Thrissur Pooram festival include a spectacular display of colourful fireworks, parasol exchanges, an umbrella showing competition, and drum concerts. Lasting for 36 hours, the festival draws the largest crowds in Kerala, fascinating locals and tourists in the region. Buddha Purnima
Buddha Jayanti, also known as Buddha Purnima celebrates the birth, enlightenment, and death of Lord Buddha. It’s the most sacred Buddhist festival. Activities include prayer meets, sermons, religious discourses, recitation of Buddhist scriptures, group meditation, processions, and worship of the statue of Buddha.

Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May every year. Mothers play an immensely important role in our lives. Mothers are selfless, shower unconditional love on their children, and sacrifice all their needs for their families. To remember the contribution of our loving mother, we celebrate a day like Mother’s Day.

Dhungri Mela
The three-day Dhungri Mela takes place in honour of Goddess Hadimba’s birthday in Manali. She was the wife of Bhima, one of the five Pandavas brothers from the great Hindu epic the Mahabharata. Her temple is one of the most important ones in the region, and gods and goddesses from surrounding villages are carried in procession to attend the celebrations. The festival involves much singing and dancing, including performances of the Kullu Natti folk dance. It provides an interesting glimpse of local culture. World No Tobacco Day
