Vedas

Upanishads:

These are a vast genre of ancient texts that contain mythology, legends, and historical narratives, often focusing on various deities and their stories.

Puranas:

An epic narrative that tells the story of Lord Rama, an avatar of Lord Vishnu, and his quest to rescue his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana.

Ramayana:

One of the world's longest epic poems, the Mahabharata narrates the great Kurukshetra War and includes teachings on dharma through stories like the Bhagavad Gita.

Mahabharata:

Part of the Indian epic Mahabharata, the Bhagavad Gita is a sacred dialogue between Lord Krishna and Prince Arjuna, addressing the moral and ethical dilemmas of life.

Bhagavad Gita:

These include the Manusmriti and other legal and ethical texts that provide guidelines for social conduct and laws for the Hindu community.
